THINKING OF A CAREER CHANGE?

The Charles River CHARTER Program is proud to sponsor a limited number of scholarships for the annual Charles River Short Course on laboratory animal science. This popular educational opportunity fills up fast and often has a waiting list for openings; however, each year we save a few spots for veterinarians who are not currently active in laboratory animal science and medicine, but interested in learning more about this exciting and challenging field. Topics include infectious disease and animal facility management, microbiome research, and animal behavior and enrichment.

Participants are eligible to receive CE hours, and scholarship winners receive a complimentary registration for the full four days of the Short Course. Winners will be responsible for travel and lodging. To apply, simply send a letter with a brief description of your professional experience and current position, as well as a short summary (two pages or less) of why you would like to attend the Short Course. Applicants should not be currently involved in the field of laboratory animal science and medicine.
