SickKids Dental Talks 2017

The Department of Dentistry is pleased to announce our second bi-annual SickKids Dental Talks.  This education day has been built on a series of highly relevant topics, delivered by national and internationally renowned speakers, that is of value to both the general practitioner and the pediatric dental specialist. This year’s distinguished speakers will address the following topics:
  
Keynote: The Nature of Oral Biofilms in Childhood – a Key for Health and Disease
Dr. Svante Twetman, a pediatric dentist/PhD, professor at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen and Director of the maxillofacial unit at Halland Hospital in Halmastad, Sweden.
  
A Brave New World
Dr. Stephen Scherer, Director, The Centre for Applied Genomics, SickKids Research Institute and Director of the McLaughlin Centre, University of Toronto.  
  
Sleep: Your Health and Clinical Practice
Dr. Brian Murray, Neurologist and Chair, Research Ethics Board, both at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Director of Integrated Medical Education, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto.
