Summary & Registration Information

This four-day Intermediate II training module is the 5th of 8 modules constituting the Somatic Experiencing Professional Training.

Intermediate II Course Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of, and skills in working with, High Impact Accidents/Failure of Physical Defense (motor vehicle accidents, falls, etc).
  2. Demonstrate understanding of, and skills in working with, rape and sexual abuse.  
  3. Demonstrate understanding of, and skills in working with, physical injury including: surgery, poisoning, and burns.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of and skills in working with anesthesia trauma.
  5. Identify ways to help prepare children and adults for surgery to minimize trauma.


Students are STRONGLY encouraged to attend the first six modules (Beginning and Intermediate-levels) at the same training location to support a strong and cohesive group learning environment. If you are unable to attend one of your local training modules, you may request to take a module in an alternate location (if space is available) or to make up one of your Beginning or Intermediate modules by DVD.
