Sioux Falls Monthly Meeting: "Is Your Business Model Broken?” The TRUTH About Fundraising and Capitalization"

For too long in the nonprofit sector, we have fooled ourselves into thinking that breaking-even at the end of the year meant success. Or that we need an endowment as we struggle to pay the bills. We will step back and challenge these long-too-held assumptions, challenging how flawed planning, communications and funding norms perpetuate our broken business models. Proper capitalization not only allows us to operate day-to-day, but gives a chance to take a risk and seize opportunity. It allows us to weather change and recover from the storm. Capital supports acquisitions or upgrades and helps us meet future facility and equipment needs.

Our programs will be held in the Morrison Commons (building #6) in the "3-in-1 Room". That is located on the 2nd floor of the building on the west side. To enter the cafeteria guests will enter on the east side. College address is 2001 S. Summit Ave - but guests will want to enter campus via Commons Drive off of Grange Ave. - approximately 30th and Grange. Guest parking available just west of the Commons as noted on the map.  AFP guests will be allowed to park in permit parking during our program time and will not be ticketed.
