    Veribus (Small Asset) Task Force Launch/Group Discussion

    The Viribus Task Force – a working group for Affiliates with $50 M or less in assets.  (Viribus means strength in Latin)

     

    Mission:  To provide member credit unions $50 MM or less with a grass roots framework to collaborate on issues unique to them.  This group, which represents approximately half of the Association’s membership, consists of 48 credit unions with a total combined assets of $658 MM and 85,465 members.  The Small Asset Task Force will be a proactive, project-oriented working group that will address multiple challenges simultaneously with the overarching goal of seeking to help its members remain relevant and grow. 

     

    Structure:  The Task Force will be led by a Steering Committee of 5 people.  Every effort will be made to include members from all four Chapters.  Jeff Goff has volunteered to be the Committee Chair and will help recruit the other  members.  The committee may select members to head up special projects (For example, CECL, CDFI, Secondary Capital, etc.). The Association has established a separate group in the Facebook Workplace application for the group to collaborate in real time.   

     

    Purpose/Action Items:

    • Provide an ongoing feedback loop to the Association regarding education, and advocacy and services
    • Share pertinent information, experiences and materials among the group
    • Assist the Credit Union Services Corporation with evaluating existing and potential strategic partners
    • Maintain a portal of relevant documents which can serve a resource library
    • Encourage collaboration amongst the participating credit unions
