Smart Wells - November 7-8, 2017 - Calgary, AB

Summary

Smart wells provide real time monitoring and control of production and injection by downhole valves and sensors. The sensors provide data to remotely regulate the well performance and optimize production. Smart well technology minimizes well intervention and maximizes reservoir productivity. Since the initiation of first smart well in 1997 ( North sea), considerable number of smart wells are developed in the world. In this course, the basic principles and fundamentals of intelligent completions are discussed. Smart well and smart field planning, design and implementation are presented. The main considerations for screening, modeling and application of smart wells are covered and field applications are presented.

A complete set of course materials and lunch is included in the Smart Wells course.
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for Managers, Engineers (including reservoir, production, drilling and completion), planning and operations staff and personnel of other disciplines interested in becoming familiar with smart well technology and the potential applications.
