Social Bullying: Assessing and Intervening with Older Adults


This workshop will describe social bullying among older adults and will differentiate social bullying from other bad behavior. Participants will learn common characteristics of bullies and those likely to be targeted. Assessment and intervention strategies will be discussed that involve the entire community, including bystanders, in creating a welcoming and accepting community. Role plays will be utilized as well as other interactive activities. The intersection of applicable fair housing requirements will also be discussed.
