The prospect of raising friends and funds to fuel your mission can be a daunting one. But it doesn't have to be! This workshop breaks down fundraising into a four-phase cycle and invites participants to master the skills and steps for each phase: attract, ask, acknowledge, and act. Join fund development experts Trish McFarland and Katie Howard to learn how to build a case for support, design a fundraising plan that fits your budget and goals, build relationships through the art of listening, activate board members in their fundraising roll, express gratitude in meaningful ways, and celebrate the results made possible by your partnership with donors. Through a series of discussions, hands-on activities, and large- and small-group interactions, you'll leave this workshop with new skills and tools to raise the financial, social, and human capital that are essential to your organization's long-term success.
Katie Howard has been helping nonprofits in Spokane raise money since 2002. She applies her deep experience with writing winning grants to nonprofits' fundraising plans and specializes in helping nonprofits articulate the case for support that will attract donors to their mission and programs. She also writes and designs the collateral materials that underscore donor relationship building. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations raise more than $103 million.
