St. Louis Graduates Professional Development Institute: Connecting Students to Career Pathways
Identifying What are the high demand fields in the St. Louis region? How can students identify postsecondary education programs that prepare them for jobs in these fields? What tools and resources exist to help counselors advise students on finding a best fit career pathway? This workshop will start with a labor market overview and an understanding of the multiple pathways that can lead to employment. Participants will delve deeply into an understanding of two career fields - healthcare and technology - and how students can prepare for various kinds of jobs within these growing sectors.
- This will be an all-day workshop
- Participants should bring their "gadget"(laptop and/or mobile device) for hands-on activities
- This workshop will take place in rooms 420 & 421
