About Start Farming
The Start Farming program is led by a team of Penn State Extension educators. Guest speakers will also be brought in to share their practical experience in the various discussion topics.
Start Farming launched in 2009 in response to increased interest in farm start-up from community members. The program’s goal is to enhance the success of beginning farmers by providing information and hands-on training in production, marketing, financial management, as well as land and other resource acquisition.
