The 2019 STARTALK Spring Conference will be held on May 3 and 4, 2019, at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark in St. Louis, Missouri. The conference will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, May 3, and will conclude at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the STARTALK Spring Conference 2019.  The theme of the 2019 STARTALK Spring Conference is Documenting Learning and this theme will guide conference activities and experiences. Conference sessions will follow a teacher program strand and student program strand, allowing programs to focus their learning within topics and contexts most important for curriculum design and classroom instruction: critical parts of summer program preparation.

*New this year* The conference begins with a come-and-go Welcome Reception on Thursday, May 2 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  After arrival and hotel check-in, come and say hello to STARTALK Staff and meet and network with other program directors and instructional leads.

On Friday, May 3, launch into learning during an opening general session, after which participants will move into an agenda anchored around teacher and student program plenary sessions, collaboration sessions and focused topic workshops.

Attendance for the duration of the conference is a STARTALK grant requirement; please plan your travel to allow you to attend the full duration of the conference through the end of the last session on Saturday at 1:15 p.m.
