This meeting will target the increased frequency and severity of asthma among children in Mississippi. It will address care of the asthmatic patient and how this problem can be addressed statewide with an emphasis on educational efforts and community and school based efforts. How local pediatricians can play a role in controlling the asthma epidemic in Mississippi will also be addressed.
