CONFERENCE REGISTRATION, CANCELLATION, AND AMENDMENT POLICY

  • Payment must be received in full prior to the conference.
  • All requests for cancellations and/or substitution must be received in writing.
  • If a registrant is unable to attend the conference, his or her registration may be transferred to one other individual, provided the substitute has the same membership status as the original registrant.  The name of the substituted delegate can be submitted to the STEP Canada office up to five business days prior to the start of the conference via memberservices@step.ca. After that, the substitution will be accepted when the conference registration desk opens at the conference site.
  • If substitution is not an option, written notice of cancellation will be accepted by the Member Services Department at the STEP Canada office until 5:00 pm EST on Friday, May 18, 2018 via memberservices@step.ca. Individuals who cancel their registration prior to this deadline will receive a refund, less $100 administration fee (plus $13 HST), at the conclusion of the conference. We regret that we cannot issue refunds for notices of cancellation received after this deadline. 
  • Individuals who do not cancel their registration by the deadline will receive conference materials via conference app and the conference bag with preloaded USB stick (mailed shortly after conference dates). No refund will be given.
  • STEP does not permit split or shared registrations.  STEP reserves the right to refuse entry to the event if these terms are not met.
  • STEP reserves the right to modify program content and or speaker line up as required.
  • In the event of there being insufficient numbers booked, STEP reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event.
  • In the event of a change of date or cancellation of an event by STEP, we will endeavor to inform all delegates a week before the event is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible. All event fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another STEP event. STEP shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including travel and accommodation.
