Workshop Chart

Future work opportunities

The Lab is committed to building a long-term supply chain of subcontractors, small businesses and construction expertise to enable us to meet our mission. Growing programs and hundreds of millions of dollars of newly-planned construction work present an important opportunity to deepen the relationship between Los Alamos and the essential subcontractors that we rely on for success.

What’s in it for you

Attendees will interact and network with Los Alamos personnel engaged in construction and maintenance subcontractor work.

The forum will also provide an opportunity for the subcontractor community to attend specific workshops designed to help subcontractors understand how to bid work at the Lab and find out what the expectations are from a commercial, safety, security and quality perspective.

Work pipeline discussions
The forum will include panel discussions centered around the Lab’s future work pipeline, new initiatives to improve the subcontracting process, subcontracting strategy, safety and security, and other topics related to subcontractor engagement. Senior Lab leadership will also touch on community engagement and teaming for success of the Lab’s mission.

Panel sessions will also focus on gathering input from subcontractors on what Los Alamos can do to streamline work while upholding the standards of both Lab and NNSA partners.

Vendor/Sponsor networking
As many as 50 vendors that provide materials and services for subcontractors will also be on hand to network and display their latest/greatest materials and equipment.

Additionally, sponsors will be on hand including the RDC and Merrick/SMSI to network with the subcontractor community and provide assistance where needed.
