This 5-part series covers the various issues pertaining to Small Business Contracting and Subcontracting Programs implemented through the Federal procurement process. It covers the complex rules that apply when a Federal procurement is set-aside, in whole or in part, for small business; when a large contractor subcontracts with small business; and when a small business prime contractor needs to subcontract work to be able to perform a U.S. Government contract set-aside. The series also covers the unique requirements for compliance with the various small business rules.
At the end of this series, you will understand the opportunities and obligations created by the Small Business Act and subsequent procurement statutes, plus strategies for succeeding in capturing and performing these opportunities while complying with the obligations. For large businesses, you will gain insights into intricacies of the small business issues you will have to address in your purchasing and supply chain management.
