Starting this program I thought that I wouldn’t belong here in the SSRP but now after these 8 weeks, I’ve gained the experience of a lifetime. I’ve learned not only the resilience needed to become a physician, but also the importance of teamwork and the needs of Hawai’i. Personally, this program has given me more than clinical experience, it’s given me the relationships and the connections I need in order to move forward as a health professional. These relationships I’ve made wouldn’t have been possible without SSRP, and I’m eternally grateful for their support and help these past 8 weeks. Now, I have even more determination and confidence to become a physician. I worked with Dr. Kosut and Dr. Fakaosita on Pediatric Bronchiolitis Admissions: What opportunities exist to safely and cost effectively improve patient care? This project evaluated if increased HFNC can be safely administered on the pediatric ward.
