preventable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and high
blood pressure. Health Navigation is designed to train mental health
peers, paraprofessionals, and professionals help mental health consumers
“navigate” the physical health care system. This Supervisor training
will provide Health Navigator Supervisors with the knowledge, tools and
skills needed to effectively provide supervision to their Health
Navigators. It will focus on establishing the foundation of effective
supervision techniques that empower Health Navigators to actively engage
in team meetings. As well as setting
goals with direct reports, methods for observing performance and giving
feedback and other forms of guidance as needed.
