With the graying of the American workforce, younger workers are promoted into supervisory/managerial positions and these generational differences will have an impact in the supervisor/subordinate relationship. Supervisors can work with their organizations to address individual development, career development, performance management systems, and organizational development that support optimal utilization of workers and improve performance. A didactic presentation will be followed with a buzz group to discuss, process, and plan implementation of ideas to address this issue.
