Together, we can have an impact on reducing domestic violence in our state. We need your support now! Please read this message from CCADV’s Executive Director Karen M. Jarmoc about how you can help.
Domestic violence is a serious problem in Connecticut. We are a state that has averaged 15 intimate partner homicides annually over the past decade and can expect Connecticut’s 18 domestic violence shelters/safe homes to operate at 95% capacity throughout the year. We know that we can and must do more to address this troubling issue. Financial contributions to CCADV support valuable activities that go above and beyond our traditional funding streams. Important initiatives such as public awareness campaigns and strategies, prevention work and victim advocacy would not be entirely possible without your support. Please help us continue to act strongly as Connecticut’s leading voice for victims of domestic violence and those who serve them. Please make a tax-deductible donation to CCADV and help make a difference! In return, CCADV will keep you: • Engaged • Informed about state and federal legislation and policy that impacts our collaborative work • Focused on current research and trending issues which impact victims and survivors • Conscious about various ways you can make a difference By giving to CCADV, you are truly empowering our organization to do better work on behalf of victims. This important investment yields great outcomes in the form of broader awareness, stronger policies and the development of better systems to ensure that help is consistently available to victims of domestic violence 24/7 wherever they may live in the state of Connecticut. Thank you! Special Note: If you already support any of CCADV’s member programs, thank you! Each member agency raises its own resources for their important work. We need strong local programs and a strong statewide coalition. If you are already contributing to one of CCADV’s member programs, we urge you to continue providing them with your support. If you don’t have a relationship with the local program, we’d be happy to introduce you. To find out how to support the program in your community, please contact us at (860) 282-7899.
