Kate Albert is an Academic and Behaviour Coach at The Redpath Centre, specializing in children and adolescents with autism spectrum and other neuro-developmental disorders. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher and received her Master's in Developmental Psychology and Education before pursuing a career in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She has worked as a behaviour therapist and consultant in the public and private sector.
As an educator and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), Katy integrates a variety of approches including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), special education teching practices, and cognitive behavioural strategies (CBT) to promote academic and social development. She is passionate about supporting families and individuals with a range of challenges incuding executive functioning, anxiety disorders, sleep difficulties, irritability, school attendance, academic performance, impulsivity, excessive gaming and aggression. She also develops and facilitates workshops for parents and professionals on a variety of topics for agencies such as Geneva Centre for Autism, SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health Learning Institute as well as private schools in Toronto.
