Symposium 2014: Stroke Rehabilitation-New Insights on Motor and Cognitive Recovery

Program Summary

This program will update rehabilitation professionals on new developments and strategies in stroke rehabilitation with a focus on cognitive and motor recovery following stroke.  Participants will be provided with an update on the acute management of stroke, neuroimaging, transcranial magnetic stimulation and central vestibular dysfunction. Taken together, the two days will be a broad overview of stroke rehabilitation. Small group "workshop” interactions will be offered each afternoon providing participants the opportunity to experience a more intimate one on one interaction with faculty and also "lay hands" on some of the new and established technology being used in state-of-the-art stroke rehabilitation.
