MEETING DESCRIPTIONThere are many ways that scientists can work with students and teachers in schools and in the community--from a presentation on Career Day to regular visits during the school year to a large effort that partners multiple scientists with schools and students. If you are engaged in similar activities or thinking about starting your own project, AAAS invites you to attend our meeting. We will offer a full day of presentations and conversations to increase knowledge and develop connections. Activities include panel discussions by experts in the field, lightning talks, learning circles, and a networking lunch.
Similar events have been held in conjunction with AAAS Annual Meetings in Vancouver, Boston, and San Francisco. AAAS is pleased to partner with the Center for Educational Outreach at the Baylor College of Medicine and the Science and Health Education Partnership at the University of California San Francisco for this meeting.
