This program offers teachers an overview of existing models, strategies and tools from a range of sources that build stronger thinking and learning processes in all Learning Areas for students with diverse thinking preferences and learning strengths.
It references the three strands of Critical and Creative Thinking capabilities in Victorian Curriculum F-10 and the four Organising Elements of Critical and Creative Thinking capabilities in Australian Curriculum.
The Herrmann HBDI Whole Brain Thinking model is also introduced through the eyes of the classroom teacher and program planner. Attention is given to practical lesson-design tools and templates that incorporate whole brain critical and creative thinking processes and blended learning tasks. Recent developments in the emerging area of Visible Learning Strategies are also introduced.
A period of access to a comprehensive online library of explicit ready-to-use lessons in the teaching of various thinking processes, and referenced directly to the Organising Elements of Critical & Creative Thinking (Australian Curriculum), is provided to participants by special arrangement with Education Research Solutions and Curriculum Organiser Australia.
