March 26, 2013A to Z’s of Assistive Technology for Little KidsProviding access to play activities for infants, toddlers, and young children with disabilities involves more than setting out toys and designing play centers. Assistive technology (AT) plays a critical role in access and engagement in play and communication for many children. We will explore ways to use inexpensive, household materials to create AT supports for infants and young children. You’ll walk away with at least one piece of AT, loads of resources and the knowledge to make decisions about selecting and designing appropriate AT to help young children learn and grow. Come on! It’ll be fun!
