This live, interactive training session will provide 10 hours of DSS -approved continuing education credit for RCFE and ARF Administrators. Our experienced instructors will make this day of education fun, informative, and motivating.

Topic A: Regulation Update (Day 1)

Regulation Update: Big Changes in 2016
In 2016 RCFE providers are faced with a record number of new laws and regulations. During this intensive educational session we will provide an update on these new laws with detailed plans for coming into compliance. The course will also include a review of other import regulations, with particular emphasis on those that are often misunderstood or create compliance challenges. Participants will receive practical knowledge and tools that can be utilized in the operations of their ARF or RCFE today!

Topic B: Quality, Outcomes, & Resident Care (Day 2)

Quality and Outcomes: Measurement, Tracking, and Reporting

In today’s care environment it is not enough to just claim that you offer high quality; you need to be able to prove it.  Knowing what outcomes data to measure and track and what to do with that information is an important skill for any ARF or RCFE administrator.  During this course we will take a deep dive into developing and maintaining an effective QAPI program, including practical tips and tools to get started in your community today.

Resident Care Update: Managing Advancing Care Needs
Residential care administrators are being asked to manage care needs for increasingly frail and medically challenged residents.  Over half of all residents suffer from three or more chronic health problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, and depression.  This course will explore the management of some of the most common health challenges encountered in the residential care setting, with an emphasis on care coordination and regulatory compliance.
