(AMCSA 2019 Chair Person) 

Dr Smit has a private practice with two clinics in Pretoria, South Africa. Her focus of her practice is aesthetic and skin treatments. Dr Smit is the founder and ex-officio president of the Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa, president member of the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine and chairperson of the Aesthetic Medicine Congress of South Africa. She is an international trainer on aesthetic medical subjects and a keen author of medical articles, journals and scientific publications.  Her field of expertise includes skin rejuvenation, facial injectables (neuromodulators and fillers), Chemical peels, Mesotherapy, PRP, Lasers and LED. Dr Smit is the course developer for the officially recognized Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine in South Africa. She is also a faculty member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine training doctors in Asia, Africa, Europe and UAE. Dr Smit is a global KOL for various aesthetic medical and pharmaceutical companies in the industry.

Dr Jacobus van Niekerk is a GP with a special Interest in Aesthetic Medicine and Ethics, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is the current President of the AAMSSA (Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine Society of South Africa). He graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1997, received his BSCMedScHons (Cum Laude) in Reproductive Biology from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. He worked in the United Kingdom in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Trauma & Intensive Care and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg in 2007 in Accident and Emergency Medicine. Dr Cobus serves on the Aesthetic Medicine Congress of South Africa (AMCSA) Scientific Committee. Dr van Niekerk is a local and International speaker and completed the Advanced Diploma of Aesthetic Medicine (ADAM), Cum Laude. He is devoted to his fields of interest: Wellness, Aesthetics and Ethics.

He lives and works in Milan. Founded “Medical Aesthetic”, Leader Italian Society in Medical Doctors and Odontoiatrics practical training in the field of Aesthetic medicine, phlebology and Regenerative medicine. He is Professor at Milan Aesthetic School "Agora'" and at ASPEM society. Dr Alastair Clark M.B., B.Ch.., GPSI Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine. Owner and Medical Director of Sandton Aesthetic Institute. Dr Clark was installed in October 2007 as one of twenty international Global Trainers to give instruction to doctors internationally. He designs and delivers courses in the disciplines of filler volumisation, neuromuscular manipulation with botulinum neurotoxin, non-surgical thread lifts, IPL and laser, chemical peels, as well as physical treatments of the skin. Dr Clark has presented and given live demonstrations at numerous international congresses in Europe, Asia and South Africa. He is currently the Head National Key Opinion Leader forTeosyal of Teoxane Laboratories. He also served as International Key Opinion Leader and Trainer for Restylane. Dr Catherine Davies Hair restoration practitioner, Melrose arch, Johannesburg Dr Catherine Davies is a proud mother of three children, and qualified as medical doctor, at the University of the Witswatersrand (1998) and holds an MBA from Henley University (2006) She has been focused on alopecia and hair restoration surgery since 2006, specialising in the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique, with a special interest in eyebrow restoration and scar repair. She frequently lectures on hair loss and hair restoration techniques and is the author of "The Management of Hair Loss" for MIMS Handbook 2012. Prior to this she had 5 years experience in the corporate world at Novartis Pharma (PTY LTD), including the role of director and EXCO member. She currently sits on the board of the NGO Campaigning for Cancer and has previously served as a trustee of both the Organ Donor Foundation and Breast Health Foundation. Her primary passion is improving the lives and outcomes of children in Africa.

After graduating as a doctor at Wits University in 1991, Dr Norval studied Palliative Medicine at Cardiff University in Wales and later obtained a Masters in Philosophy from UCT. She has an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic
Medicine through the Foundation for Professional Development.  She is a board member of AAMSSA and sits on the Professionalism and Ethics committee
for SAAHSP. She currently works in Aesthetic Medicine in Private Practice in Johannesburg.

Dr Genevieve Marks is formally qualified in GPSI Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine, Dip Prac Derm (Cardiff), MBBCh (Pret), BSc (UNISA). Dr Marks has a special interest and dedication to all things aesthetic and dermatological. Since then she has become well known for her involvement as a trainer, lecturer and consultant for several key dermatological and aesthetic companies including Allergan and Sinclair, and is one of the two Key Opinion Leaders for Teoxane. She is a recognised expert in the use of neurotoxin, injectable tissue fillers and non-surgical face-lifting techniques with threads. Her scope of practice extends to lasers, photodynamic therapy and novel treatments such as PRP, colloquially known as ‘Vampire Lifting’. Her practice in Waterkloof Ridge Pretoria is mostly where she spends her time, bringing her appreciation for the Aesthetic to life in her patients.

Dr Nikolic is the Vice President of the Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine Society of South Africa and is an appointed Allergan Local Country Mentor in Facial Aesthetics.

She is a member of the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and an Exco member of the Aesthetic and Anti-aging medicine assosiation of SA. She is a lecturer and trainer for the Aesthetic Medical Academy and presents scientific papers at congresses and publishes in health related magazines. She was a session dentist at the University of Pretoria, guiding students to master their dental skills from 2010 -2017Dr.Vermeulen has a a post-graduate diploma in Paediatric Dentistry.She owns dental practice in Pretoria. She is the president of CDAFA(Cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetic society of South Africa.She attended numerous anti-ageing and aesthetic medicine courses on advanced treatment with Botulinium toxin type A and hyaluronic fillers.She also attended numerous workshops and aesthetic courses.She presented a talk at the Medical Aesthetic Congress on combination treatments for facial rejuvenation, combining different modalities and treatments for skin, volumising the face and neurotoxins.She presented talks at the Facial aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry congress in 2016 and 2017.She believes that continual education is of the utmost importance.She trained medical and dental practitioners with neuromodulators and fillers for different pharmaceutical companies in 2015- 2018.She organized the Facial aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry Congress 2016,2017.She organized the International dentistry medical and aesthetic show of Africa 2018.
