		ULUNDI BEHRTEL Ms Behrtel completed her tertiarty education in BLC degree at the University of Pretoria in 1987. In 1990 she completed her LLB also at the University of Pretoria. In 2000 she obtained a certificate in Medicine and Law (cum laude) at the Unit for Medicine and Law, a joint initiative by UNISA and the University of Pretoria. Ms Behrtel is a qualified attorney and has gained extensive experience in medical law in the past 18 years having served her articles of clerkship with Deneys Reitz attorneys, specialising in personal injury litigation. Prior to joining SAMA she also worked at the South African Nursing Council as a senior manager in Professional Conduct and the South African Military Health Service as a military law officer (specialising in medico-legal matters) . Ms Behrtel was the head of the Human Rights, law and ethics unit at SAMA until November 2011
		DR FREDERIC BRACCINI Plastic Surgeon, Nice, France He graduated at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Marseille (Senior intern, hospital assistant and clinical head physician). He was associate surgeon to the American Hospital of Paris and works in private activity in Nice (HNS & FPS Institute). He is an international expert in surgery and medicine aesthetic fields. Vice-president of the Riviera aesthetic society (SAMCEP),and secretary for the communication of the French Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (SFCPEFC), he is also member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). He organized a lot of congress and published many scientific studies and books on facial plastic surgery.

		DR ALASTAIR CLARKE *Aesthetic practitioner, Johannesburg, South Africa* Dr Alastair Clark is in full time Medical Aesthetic Practice at his clinic Sandton Aesthetic Institute in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa and works frequently in Paris, Milan and Stockholm. He was installed in October 2007 as one of twenty international Global Trainers to give instruction internationally on behalf of QMed, training other doctors in this country and internationally in the art and science of aesthetic injection techniques. He designs and delivers courses in the disciplines of filler volumisation, neuromuscular manipulation with botulinum neurotoxin, IPL and laser, as well as physical treatments of the skin. Dr Clark has presented and given live demonstrations at numerous international congresses, both in SA and in Europe

		DR CATHERINE DAVIES Hair restoration practitioner, Melrose arch, Johannesburg Dr Catherine Davies is a proud mother of three children, and qualified as medical doctor, at the University of the Witswatersrand (1998) and holds an MBA from Henley University (2006) She has been focused on alopecia and hair restoration surgery since 2006, specialising in the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique, with a special interest in eyebrow restoration and scar repair. She frequently lectures on hair loss and hair restoration techniques and is the author of "The Management of Hair Loss" for MIMS Handbook 2012. Prior to this she had 5 years experience in the corporate world at Novartis Pharma (PTY LTD), including the role of director and EXCO member. She currently sits on the board of the NGO Campaigning for Cancer and has previously served as a trustee of both the Organ Donor Foundation and Breast Health Foundation. Her primary passion is improving the lives and outcomes of children in Africa.
		DR KOEN DE BOULLE Dermatologist, Aalst, Belgium Koenraad De Boulle, is a dermatologist and director of Aalst Dermatology Clinic, a private dermatology clinic in Aalst, Belgium. The subspecialty association of 7 dermatologist has affiliations with different Belgian academic centers and acts as a referral center for complex dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic indications. Dr De Boulle is a frequent lecturer and speaker at national and international congresses and symposia. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed jounals, and has been frequently requested as reviewer for scientific submissions. Dr De Boulle has conducted numerous phase 2 to 4 clinical studies on multiple therapeutic, dermatologic surgery, and cosmeceutical compounds. He also holds advisory positions for a variety of major therapeutic and cosmeceutical companies, as well as directorial faculty positions for major educational congresses. Dr De Boulle has invited and appointed as trainer and organizer of dermatologic surgery workshops on a variety of dermsurgical procedures and compounds. He now has over 2 decades of national and international experience in these educational events and has been organizing training programs and individual courses in his own dermatology clinic for physicians for the past 10 years. Dr. Eckhouse is currently the chairman of Syneron Medical Ltd. (Nasdaq ELOS) which he co-founded in 2001 and took public on Nasdaq in 2004, and through a secondary offering in Nasdaq in 2005. Syneron reached a valuation of more than $1B and returned to its investors more than X50 on their investment. Dr. Eckhouse was elected as “Entrepreneur of the year in Israel” by the E&Y world entrepreneurship competition in 2006, as Entrepreneur of the year in 2004 by the Israeli VC organization and as Israeli Innovator of the year in 2009 by the World Innovation Conference held in Israel in 2009. He is also the chairman and co-founder of CardioDex Ltd., NanoCyte Ltd., Navotek Ltd., Tulip Ltd., Rapid Medical Ltd., Opticul Diagnostic Ltd., RealView Ltd. and the Chairman of Orsense Ltd. 	DR DES FERNANDES Plastic Surgeon, Cape Town, South Africa Dr. Des Fernandes studied in South Africa and obtained his fellowship in surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland. He trained as a cardiac surgeon and worked in the National Heart Hospitals of the UK and then in South Africa with Professor Christian Barnard's cardiac surgery team. He subsequently specialized in the field of plastic surgery, gaining the respect of his international peers. He continued to specialize in facial work and is involved in cosmetic facial surgery. 	DR CRAIGE GOLDING Specialist physician, Bryanston, Johannesburg Dr. Golding is a specialist physician, and chief medical advisor, in private practice at the Integrative Medical Centre in Bryanston, Johannesburg, where he practices integrative medicine, combining natural medicines, nutraceuticals, bio-identical hormones, intravenous treatments and allopathics (where needed) and many other medical biotechnologies to enhance the health of his clients. Dr. Golding qualified as a medical doctor 1993 Cum Laude. He is a fellow of the South African College of Physicians and qualified as a specialist physician in 1999. 	DR SHLOMIT HLACHMI MD PHD Shlomit Halachmi, MD PHD, completed bachelors of science degrees in chemical engineering and biology at MIT, with an interest in controlled drug delivery and oncology. After her undergraduate studies she entered the Health Sciences and Technology track at the combined Harvard-MIT medical training program and completed the MD/PhD program at Havard Medical School Her PhD thesis, which focused on gene regulation in the field of steroid hormones, identified the first nuclear receptor coactivators and co-repressors and demonstrated their role in establishing ligand-selective effects of estrogens and retinoids. She completed residency training in dermatology at Boston University and was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 2011. She has maintained an active role in research and developmentin drug development and in medical device development, and served as VP of Medical Affairs at UltraShape. Today, Dr. Halachmi is active in both medical and aesthetic dermatology, particularly within the arena of medical devices, with a major interest in expanding indications for existing technologies and in developing new approaches for unmet needs, based on clear understanding of mechanisms of action and energy-tissue interactions.
	DR YVES HÉBERT Aesthetic Practitioner, Canada Dr. Yves Hébert is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal and has worked in the field of aesthetic medicine for over twenty years. His well-established practice is at the forefront of new injectable and laser treatments as they become available in Canada. He is the President of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM).

	DR JENNI IRVINE *Aesthetic Practitioner, Johannesburg, South Africa* I graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in 1992 and did my internship at Helen Joseph Hospital. I then worked and studied in the United Kingdom for 10 years and I received my MRCGP and a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In 2003 I returned home to South Africa and became interested in Aesthetics Medicine. In 2006 I started my own Aesthetics clinic on the East Rand and have found this field of medicine very interesting, challenging and rewarding. My first love is teaching. I feel passionately about educating others in this field to maintain a standard of excellence. Aesthetics is a young and growing field with fantastic opportunities for all involved in it. I am a trainer for Allergan in the use of dermal fillers and Botulinum toxin. I am a trainer for Syneron in the use of the Lipolite system for laser lipolysis. To date our own clinic has performed over 1000 laser lipolysis procedures. My aesthetic work has also enabled me to be more involved with various charitable organizations. I am the medical director for Hospice East Rand and Shady Pines Alzheimer’s Home. I am also the proud mother of 2yr old twins and a teenager!! My children are certainly my greatest achievement to date.

	DR PHOLILE MPOFU *Dermatologist, Pretoria* Pholile was born and grew up in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province. She attended elementary schooling in the same area and completed her matriculation at Inanda Seminary in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Pholile then continued her studies at the Medical University of Southern Africa (“Medunsa”) where she read and successfully completed the medical degree. She was not content with becoming a General Medical Practitioner but she found a niche in the medical field, thereby registering at the College of Medicine of South Africa of which she is now a fellow, as a Dermatologist. If the impeccable reputation of Inanda Seminary’s alumni is anything to go by, it is not surprising that Pholile became the first Black woman Dermatologist and is today one of those women who are icons and the conscience of South Africa’s moral and professional regeneration. Pholile has set up her main practice at Laserderm in Morningside and Lister Building in the heart of Johannesburg. She personifies the credo – “a good medical practitioner is one who is always available to patients.” In this regard, she conducts sessional practices at three other private clinics and despite her tight business schedule, she continues to provide pro bono medical services at the Johannesburg General Hospital, which, in return, presents an opportunity for her to keep abreast with dynamic changes in the medical profession. Accordingly, she is forever invited to deliver papers on various researches and topics in the dermatology field to other medical practitioners and pharmaceutical companies, including providing professional opinions.
