The third edition of the Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton hits the water on Saturday 15th December. Starting at Phillip Point Rottnest, off the coast of Perth, the longest race of its kind in Australia has competitors speeding across the Indian Ocean on the Gage Roads channel and finishing at Leighton Beach, North Fremantle.
Invitations are out to assemble a world class field to compete with a highly competitive and motivated field of Australian kiters. The Red Bull Lighthouse to Leighton is a unique opportunity for amateur and professional kiters alike to compete against one another for the race title, trophy and $1,500 first prize. The course record for the 19 kilometre channel crossing is a super fast 24 minutes, 34 seconds and was established by World Speed Ace Alex Caizergues in 2010.
