 | Dr Riekie Smit MBChB (UOFS). MSc Sports Medicine(Pret) Dr Smit is an Aesthetic and Sports Physician in Pretoria, South Africa. She graduated in medicine at the University of the Free State, and then specialized in Sports Medicine at the University of Pretoria. She has been running a private practice ever since. She is the president of the Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa and she is also president member of the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine for the past 5 years. Dr Smit is the chair scientific program organizer of the Aesthetic Medicine Congress of South Africa. She is the author of many articles and scientific publications focusing on skin rejuvenation developments. She has a passion for research. She does numerous trainings and consultancies for various companies. She is also a regular invited speaker at international and local congresses or meetings. She is the course developer for the first formal post-graduate training in aesthetic medicine with a higher education institution in SouthAfrica. He became a Member of the College of Medicine in 1979 (Faculty of Family Practitioners) and has been a practising Family Physician since 1981. In 1988, Dr Niemann completed his Masters Degree in Pharmacology at The University of Pretoria. In the last decade, Dr Niemann has developed an interest in anti-aging treatments with over 14 years of experience in administering Botox. Dr. Cobus van Niekerk graduated in 1997, from the University of Pretoria. He obtained his Honours degree in Reproductive Biology - Cum Laude - from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. Spending six years in London, he worked at King's College, Lewisham and The Royal London Hospitals. Dr. van Niekerk became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007. He returned back to South Africa and has a successful Private Practice with a special interest in Aesthetic Medicine.
