The Conference is a one-day, high impact, first of its kind event that is geared toward helping New Jersey and New York businesses position themselves to leverage Super Bowl XLVIII, which is coming to New Jersey and New York on February 2, 2014 and is projected to generate over $550 million in regional economic activity. The Conference will convene leaders from area businesses, government, community, tourism and civic organizations to discuss how hosting Super Bowl XLVIII can stimulate immediate regional growth and future global opportunities for small to mid-size businesses.
The Conference is open to any business, community or non-profit organization interested in capitalizing on the economic uplift presented by the influx of over 230,000 spectators coming to the region in early February. Speakers will include Jim McGreevey, former New Jersey governor and executive director, Jersey City Employment and Training Commission; Soledad O’Brien, award winning journalist, producer and founder, Soledad O'Brien and Brad Raymond Starfish Foundation; Tracye McDaniel, president and chief executive officer of Choose New Jersey; Wayne Hasenbalg, president and chief executive officer of New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority; and business leaders from the designated impact Huddle Zones, as well as experts in tourism, global trade and economic development.
