The Desired Results
The Desired Results Developmental Profile© is a research-based, observation readiness tool for the assessment of young children approved by the Missouri State Board of Education. The DRDP instrument is designed for teachers to observe, document, and reflect on the learning, development, and progress of children, who are enrolled in early care and education programs.
The assessment results are intended to be used by the teacher to plan curriculum for individual children and groups of children and to guide continuous program improvement.
• Close the school readiness gap and inform decisions about policies and practices.• Align programs for children birth to third grade.• Improve young children’s learning experiences, including informing instruction and services.• Inform professional development processes for parents, caregivers, and teachers of young children.
Audience: All Staff, Providers and Administrators working with young children.
