The State of Congressional Capacity Conference

This conference brings together many of the nation’s leading congressional scholars to address the state of congressional capacity. Does Congress equip itself to solve today's most important national and global problems? How do congressional resources and processes affect its oversight, policy, and fiscal responsibilities? What are the prospects for improving congressional capacity and American governance? A healthy Congress is central to American democracy, yet few of us would call the institution as it operates today healthy. Through this conference, we hope to chart a path to renewal, grounded in the thoughtful and rigorous scholarship.
