The Truth in Negotiations Act (“TINA”) outlines the required cost information disclosures that contractors must make to the government for specific contracts, such as those above the dollar threshold set out in FAR 15.403-4. The New Year sees a trend in increased post-award audits by the Defense Contract Audit Agency ("DCAA"), the body in charge of performing audits on contracts subject to TINA, increasing contractors’ vulnerabilities to the penalties associated with a TINA violation.
This half-day seminar will address the risks associated with post-award audits to insure that contractors who submit certified cost or pricing data to the government are protected from the penalties associated with a TINA violation. For those already familiar with TINA, the course provides a helpful refreshed of mandatory compliance policies in the face of new audit trends. For those starting from scratch, the course is the perfect introduction to a key risk area in government contracting.
