To Be An Excellent Teacher

Do you know what it takes to be an excellent teacher? What guidelines and strategies do you need to promote young children’s optimal learning and development? Today’s early childhood teachers face increased responsibility in making intentional instructional decisions. Explore what it takes to translate the developmentally appropriate practice framework into high-quality experiences for the children you teach.

Join the NAEYC Professional Learning & Engagement team for a full-day workshop - just for teachers! At this workshop, you will discover how to:

  • apply the core considerations, principles, and guidelines of developmentally appropriate practice in your work with young children and families

  • enhance your classroom climate by creating a caring community of learners and teaching to enhance development and learning

  • implement intentional teaching practices that are appropriate to children’s age and developmental status, address the unique needs of individual children, and are responsive to the social and cultural contexts in which children live

By the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to implement developmentally appropriate practice in your classroom.

This workshop is targeted to teaching staff serving toddlers and preschoolers.

Space is limited. Register early to reserve your seat. RSVP by October 20, 2016.
