To Sell is Human - Sales Skills for the Fundraising Professionals


Program Description:
What does it really mean to sell? What are we as fundraisers selling? How do we go about it? What makes a great sales person…and a bad one? How does one look at sales from a different perspective? Join us as we learn how we can incorporate effective practices used by salespeople to improve our fundraising efforts. The presentation will engage the listener to think of sales as a constant process that is relationship driven and a lot more fun than they think.

Vinny Catalano has been in sales his entire career, spanning different industries, domestically and internationally for the past 35 years. He holds a BA in Chemistry from Skidmore College and an MBA from UC Davis Graduate School of Management. In his current role for the past 16 years, he is responsible for client acquisition and maintenance in the employee benefit consulting space. He engages with existing and prospective clients in area like health plan and benefits consulting, employee well-being, communications, financial health and many other areas. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Gold Country Chapter and the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce.

AFPCCC hereby establishes the policy that attendance will be paid in advance by credit card. For members and attendees who want to pay by check, checks will need to be received one week before the event in order for them to be considered registered.

You may cancel your registration and receive a partial refund less a $5.00 processing fee by 5:00PM, Monday, July 15.

If you find you can not make it after the 48 hour cancellation, your registration can be used by another person but must pay the difference if applicable.
