The Fetal Cardiac Program is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that provides detailed evaluation, counseling and treatment for heart problems that may occur during pregnancy. We work closely with community Cardiologists, Radiologists, Obstetricians, Geneticists, Family Doctors, Midwives and the High Risk Obstetric Services provided at tertiary referral Centres throughout Ontario.

The goals of the Fetal Cardiac Program are to ensure that families receive the highest quality care for potential heart problems during pregnancy and further improve the detection rate of cardiac anomalies resulting from higher standards of cardiac imaging during pregnancy.

Our clinical service, ongoing educational support is provided to cardiac and obstetric programs across Canada as well as providing this educational meeting, the fetal cardiac program provides on-site training and education for diagnostic ultrasound laboratories evaluating women during pregnancy.
