Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I know I am registered?
Answer: You will be officially enrolled in the program(s) of your choice as soon as we receive your registration form and payment and you receive a confirmation email.  If you enroll in one of our on-demand online programs, your confirmation email will include information on how to access your online program.

We will notify you by email if there is a problem with your registration or if there are changes about which you should know. William James College reserves the right to cancel programs that are under-enrolled, to change times and locations if necessary, and to substitute instructors.
Question: What happens in inclement weather?
Answer: If you are uncertain about the status of your program, please call the college at 617-327-6777.
Question: Is there handicapped access?
Answer: William James College’s building in Newton is fully accessible.
Question: Where are you located?
Answer: With the exception of our online offerings, most of our programs are held at William James College located at 1 Wells Ave, Newton, MA where free parking is available. Programs being held in other locations are noted. For directions, visit www.williamjames.edu/directions. Question: What is your refund policy?
Answer: William James College/CE reserves the right to cancel programs that are under-enrolled, to change times and locations if necessary, and to substitute instructors. We will refund your full fee or issue you a William James College/CE credit in the event that we cancel your program.

If the program for which you are trying to register is full, you can add yourself to the program's wait-list. Should a spot open up, you will receive an e-mail.

If you withdraw from a program at least 10 days before the program starts, we will send you a refund of your program fee minus a $20 processing charge or arrange a full William James College/CE credit (unless otherwise noted). If you are interested in receiving a full credit to be used within two years for another William James College CE program instead of the refund, please call or e-mail the Continuing Education Department.

If you wish to withdraw from a program less than 10 days before the program start date, please call or e-mail the Continuing Education Department to see if we can arrange a credit of the program fee to be used within two years for another William James College/CE program. No refunds or credits are issued on or after a program's start date.
