Primary care providers often see men with symptoms of testosterone deficiency without properly diagnosing and treating these men. Considering biochemical diagnostic pecularlities for testosterone associated disorders is one barrier that is more commonly overcome by subspecialists such as endocrinologists. To understand when to check and how to interpret measured testosterone levels is critical in deciding when to initiate treatment and which testosterone preparation should be used. This activity should help educate primary care providers about these problems by an endocrinologist in collaboration with a board certified sleep medicine expert and PharmD who both are working as primary care providers.
