Understanding Implicit Bias (new!)

Training Description

Implicit bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. In housing, this can affect interactions with both staff and residents as well as applicants. Participants will gain an understanding of what implicit bias is, how it functions and how it affects our decision making in our work. Through reflective activities, open conversations, and facilitative exercises participants will be encouraged to confront their own biases in their personal and professional lives and learn skills to move the conversation forward in everyday life.
