Understanding quality review - Box Hill - 15 - 16 May 2018


This two day industry focused course aims to provide participants from home care services with an introduction to the aged care regulatory framework, Home Care Common Standards, process, quality review principles and methodology. Participants will develop skills to critically review and contribute to the continuous improvement of their organisation’s provision of care and services and to demonstrate performance against the Home Care Common Standards. 

Through active participation in this course participants will be able to:

  • Outline the quality review process for home care services underpinned by the aged care regulatory framework
  • Describe  the Quality Agency’s assessment principles and methodology
  • Contribute effectively to the organisation’s quality management, continuous improvement and risk management systems.
  • Describe a quality and consumer focused home care services and outcomes.
  • Outline the Home Care Common Standards, expected outcomes and linkages.
  • Use the self-assessment process to gather and analyse information to evidence performance or identify opportunities for improvement.
