University of Colorado, Boulder - JS Caruthers Biotechnology Bldg.

About This Show:

The state-of-the-art Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building is located on CU-Boulder’s East Campus, and is home to the BioFrontiers Institute, the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the Division of Biochemistry.  It houses more than 600 faculty, staff and students from nine departments and divisions in 330,000 square feet  This new facility brings together the Initiative’s scientific passion and drive with the resources it takes to explore critical areas of unknown biology and translate that knowledge into applications that will advance human health and welfare.

In addition, the building provides the resources that scientists and engineers need for their research. Core facilities like the Next Generation Sequencing Facility, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility and the Microscopy Core provide resources that scientists and engineers need for their research. These facilities are also open to industry at competitive rates, extending the collaborative impact of this facility throughout the state of Colorado and beyond.
