In some classrooms, mobile devices are a distraction, but they don’t have to be! You can use students’ mobile devices, tablets and laptops to engage them in a variety of ways. This session will introduce some very simple, web-based tools that instructors can use to engage students during class time. These tools are easy-to-use, and do not require student or instructor training. We will explore tools that allow students to engage in a wide range of active learning strategies, including reflection, microblogging, concept mapping, and more.
Note: This will be an interactive workshop, so please bring a laptop or mobile device of some kind to the session.
