Using the Pyramid Model to Support Infant and Toddler Challenging Behaviors

Relationships in the home, community and classroom shape the way children learn, interpret, and connect with others.  The Pyramid Model is a positive behavioral intervention and support (PBIS) framework that uses systems-thinking and implementation science to promote evidence-based practices.  The Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children helps early intervention providers and classroom educators build skills for supporting nurturing and responsive caregiving, create learning environments, provide targeted social-emotional skills, and support children with challenging behavior.

This linked series offers practical opportunities to support children in child care settings to prevent challenging behavior. In addition to the 4 face-to-face sessions and a 2-hour live webinar, targeted strategies will be used between sessions offering a total of 25 hours of early intervention credit upon completion of this training institute.  Participation is required in all components of this training series to receive credit.  No partial credit will be awarded.
