Cacao - Chocolate in the Raw
Cacao refers to the raw, unprocessed form of chocolate which retains more of its natural nutrients. It’s packed with antioxidants that destroy free radicals, the chemicals that accelerate aging, inflammation and increase the potential for a range of diseases. But unfortunately, the benefits are too often far outweighed by the fat and refined sugar we tend pair with our raw cocoa powder. Learn how to cook healthy meals with cacao - both savory and sweet - without all the negative consequences. In this course participants will create dishes using cacao in a variety of ways in a hands-on, instructor led environment.
This is a great course for friends or family members looking to enjoy some time together while experiencing something new. Anything left over can be taken home by participants of the class, so please bring a container for transport.
This course requires no previous kitchen or cooking experience. Due to the nature of this course and the work performed in our professional kitchen, participants must wear long pants, long sleeves, and flat closed-toe shoes. The course length is approximate and will vary with the number of participants and other factors.
