Changes in 2018

Lunches - you will now have an option to bring your own lunch on trips that require a meal. Lunches will now be $7 if you choose to order one. This requires two steps.

1. At the bottom of the page where you select your sessions, there is a box where you enter in the number of lunches you will be ordering for the festival. For example, if you need a lunch on Thursday and Saturday, you enter in 2.

2. On the next page of registration you will choose your type of sandwich, or you will select "I will bring my own."

Water - We will no longer be using plastic water bottles. We encourage you to bring your own water bottle and will have a station with filtered water for you to use to re-fill your bottle as needed. Our registration gift this year will be a stainless steel water bottle. We will also be selling an insulated stainless steel water bottle with this year's art work on it. Each van will have some extra bottles full of water on it for those that need more water or forgot their bottle that morning.

Additional Information

The Mission Statement for the Festival:

The Verde Valley Birding & Nature Festival provides a unique recreational experience to anyone interested in the natural world and fosters awareness of the importance of habitat for the enrichment of all life in the Verde Valley.

Symphony on Wings - our 2018 theme:

The sound made you stop and listen. It varied in tone and melody; like it was telling a story. Like a mockingbird, but more mellow and melodic. You could listen for hours but instead looked for the source. The bird was as arresting as the song. Large, brown with a long tail and an astounding curved beak. No mistaking the Crissal Thrasher. We in the southwest high desert are lucky to share our lives and feeders with this songster.
