Volunteer Matters April 12th 2018

Worth their weight in gold, or more trouble than they are worth?

With public services diminishing year on year, the scope and workload of the charitable sector is increasing.  The third sector is heavily dependant upon volunteers at all levels, particularly in the smaller charities, where even the CEO might be a volunteer.

However, gone are the days when volunteering meant just rocking up at your local good cause for the odd hour here and there.  Voluntary organisations are subject to much of the same red tape and management problems as any commercial organisations, so it important to have the right structure and the right people, and adhere to best practice at all times.

Volunteer Matters is a national event for leaders of volunteers in any kind of setting, including those running employee volunteer programmes in for-profit corporations, to come together and learn and share from the experts and from each other.

Join us for a lively and entertaining conference on the shape of volunteering in the 21st Century, with contributions on:

      The Economic Value of Volunteering

How Best to Evaluate Volunteer Programmes

      Inspiring Impact

      The Legal Status of Volunteers

With opportunities to network and time to quiz the panel on any aspect of volunteers and volunteering, Volunteer Matters promises to be interesting and enjoyable day for anyone who works for or with 3rd sector organisations.
