Abstract

Because project management is an ever-changing discipline, NASA’s approach evolves to encompass emerging best practices and lessons learned across the agency. In this VPMC session, we will discuss improvement initiatives, best practices and recent program management changes at NASA and what project managers and their teams need to know to stay ahead. We will discuss NASA’s implementation of the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act (PMIAA), NASA’s High-Risk Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and examples of project management tailoring. Future NASA Project Management Update sessions will be scheduled periodically to maintain communication with the NASA PM community.
