What will you learn?
Participants will learn how to understand the complicated water pre and post test reports, as well as drinking water standards, chain-of-custody, various water test parameters, and comparing test results with standards. Susan Boser and Dana Rizzo, water resources extension educators, will discuss the management of private water supplies and interpretation of test reports.

Why is this workshop important?
This workshop will help participants to interpret and understand the results of water testing that has been done by a lab whether for pre-gas well drilling or from routine testing of private water supplies.

Participants are encouraged to bring test results and any questions they may have.

Information about water testing as it relates to Marcellus drilling as well as water treatment options will also be discussed.

Penn State water test kits will also be available.
