The architectural work of Gaudí, the main precursor of Modernism, has its best display in Barcelona with world famous buildings that we will discover with this tour. You will be accompanied by a specialized guide as you head out to see the following two masterpieces! Tour also includes a stop for lunch before heading back to the hotel.Sagrada Familia: The great-unfinished masterpiece designed by Antonio Gaudí. Visited and consecrated by Pope Benedictus XVI in November 2010. In 1883 Gaudí accepted the assignment to continue building Barcelona’s great temple. He devoted forty-three years of his life to it, he died 1926 before he could complete the project. Now, its construction continues under the supervision of Josep Mª Subirachs. Being an expiatory temple, it has been financed by private donations and we hope that it may continue, thanks to contributions received from the faithful admirers of the work.La Pedrera:, Also called Casa Milá is the second most visited museum in Barcelona , across the road from Casa Batllo is not as colorful as Casa Batllo but it has an interesting history. A rich businessman liked the Casa Batllo so much that he hired Gaudi to construct a building on the vacant block across the road. This building turned out to be less conventional than the Casa Batllo. Every room is irregular. The walls and ceilings differ from one another. In fact, the whole building is constructed on pillars and arches together with the use of steel.
