In her first STEP webcast, mental capacity specialist Kiran Vasudeva TEP maps out a year in the life of a Property and Financial Affairs Deputy. Kiran explores the different stages of Deputyship including the work behind making an application for, and receiving, Deputyship from the Court of Protection, ongoing client administration, and how a Deputies may be discharged from their duties at the end of their tenure. Kiran also explores complicating factors for Deputies including personal injury claims, tax returns and other health and welfare issues that practitioners may have to address on behalf of clients.

Kiran Vasudeva TEP is an Associate with New Quadrant Partners in London. She specialises in mental capacity matters in the Court of Protection; often Deputyship applications, drafting complex personal injury trusts and administering powers of attorney. Kiran also frequently carries out general probate work and administering estates of all sizes. Kiran completed her studies at the University of Sheffield and qualified as a solicitor with Irwin Mitchell in 2009.
